Sebastian Bong, born in 1988, studied at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at New York University. In 2013, he achieved the First State Examination. He completed his legal training in Hamburg, which included positions at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, the German Federal Ministry of Justice and the international law firm Latham & Watkins. After his Second State Examination in 2015, he was a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, where he completed his dissertation.

In 2018, he was appointed as a candidate notary. From 2020 to 2021, he was managing director of the Hamburg Chamber of Notaries and the Hamburg Notaries’ Pension Fund. Since July 1, 2022 Sebastian Bong is appointed as a notary in Hamburg.
